Last summer Jerry Barclay was diagnosed with COPD, a lung disease where the lungs deteriorate causing issues with low oxygen levels. In June he was told he could no longer Work, it was time to retire before his job killed him. The doctor told us the COPD was caused from the line of work he has been doing most of his life while working in the woods and veneer mill where he was constantly exposed to dangerous and harmful toxins like diesel exhaust and the dust and smoking.
Jerry currently has 2 oxygen machines at home, along with countless puffers but he is in need of 2 more machines and therapy for his lungs. Starting in September he will be traveling to town twice a week for these treatments. So come join us on September 15 at the Upper Nashwaak Lions Club for a day of Washer Toss And a night with Timmy Gullison and the town cats!!
